Transferred!

Yesterday was our FET. I can't even believe how quickly the date arrived. I had every intention of posting once or twice again beforehand... oops!

Overall it went well (I think). It was weird being back in one of the procedure rooms again. Only this time there was no anesthesia and I was generally feeling fine (for my fresh cycle transfer last time I was in the beginning stages of OHSS). It all happened so fast. The lab came in to talk about our embryo. Then Dr. B came in to say hi and express her excitement about the day. Then the ultrasound tech came in to get set up. And then... show time!

I'll have to post pictures later, but we got a printout of the embryo "landing" in my uterus from the ultrasound. We also were allowed to take a picture of it on the TV screen while it was still in the petri dish. No video though... bummer.

We headed home and I had some lunch and then proceeded to take a FOUR HOUR NAP to sleep off the valium they had me take. It was... glorious.

Anyway - just a short post for today but will write more tomorrow. I'm officially on doctor-ordered "couch potato" rest for the week :)
